About

I am a woman in my twenties in the medical field. I am Indian, but was born and raised in the U.S. I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, as well as good food and good wine!
I am interested in making this a website where I can showcase artwork, songs, poems, photos, books, and movies by other people to help them to get feedback and exposure. I also hope that this is a place that I will be able to share some of my work and get your ideas on how I can improve.

If you are interested in having your work featured on my blog, please email me at chaitime212@gmail.com. If you have any suggestions for me on how I can improve this blog, please let me know.

In terms of providing feedback, please be positive! I want this to be a place where people feel comfortable sharing their work.

Book Review Policies:

I am open to receiving solicited Advance Reading Copies and Review Copies of Books.

will not review the following:
  • Books with explicit sexual content.
  • Otherwise offensive content (no rape, abuse, torture in explicit detail).
  • Excessively long books (maximum: 350 pages)
  • Foreign language books (I am sadly, only proficient in English. However, I can understand some Hindi. I am also fine with a book with some terms in another language, as long as a glossary is provided).
These are pretty firm guidelines, especially with regards to explicit content, so please don't request a review if your book contains such content in detail. Now, I understand that in certain genres, obviously some of this content will be present (i.e. history, war, and so on). I am alright with some mention of such content. I am not okay with long drawn-out explicit scenes.

I reviewed the novel Rani of Rampur by Suneeta Misra, and have been hired as the author's publicist. In this vein, I would like to request that authors who contact me for a review, would consider a review swap, to help this new author get her name out there. She also has written a short story, Of King & Queens, if you are interested in a review swap, but do not have the time to devote to a full-length novel.

As a (medical) resident, I cannot promise to agree to every review request. It also may take me some time to get back to you. If you do not hear from me within 4-6 weeks, please assume that I am unable to accept your request/offer. My review copy preference is for e-books, followed by print copies. I have an iPad, so I can review your books on Kindle, Nook, iBooks, Kobo, GoodReads, SmashWords, etc. Once I accept your request, I will read your book and review it. The time it will take to review your book depends on the length and my schedule, but should not take more than 2-3 weeks. I will give it a rating between 1-5 stars, as well as a review that I will post on my blog and on Amazon. I will showcase interviews and feature your books on my page. I can also sponsor book giveaways on my blog. At this time I am only accepting 2 books per month.

Disclaimer: I cannot 100% guarantee reviews, depending on the number of books ahead of you in the queue. I also cannot guarantee 100% positive reviews. My aim is to provide an unbiased, honest review of each book I read, but I will always be kind and respectful. I also reserve the right to refuse to review any book, if I so choose.  If you would like to post my review elsewhere (amazon, goodreads, etc.), please feel free, but you must provide a link to this blog.

Other Works:
Please feel free to submit any artwork, photos, music, films, poems, etc. that you would like me to feature on the blog. Please include a short paragraph about yourself.
