Artsy - making art accessible to everyone!

It has been awhile since I've updated my blog. I am excited to share some new finds with you!

Featured Website: One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is check out different museums in my area. One of the advantages of living in a city is that there are tons of museums to choose from and many different exhibitions that rotate through. The problem is, I often hear about exhibitions that I would have loved to have seen, but didn't know about until after the fact. I recently discovered the Artsy website, which solves that problem. This website not only gives me information about my favorite artists, but also gives me information about where their art is being showcased. I can also buy artwork on the website. Edgar Degas is one of my favorite artists, and his paintings of ballet dancers are especially lovely. Artsy's Degas page gives me information about over 200 of his paintings and exhibition listings grouped by location, making it easy to find an exhibition near me. Additionally, there is a bio and several articles present on the website so that I can learn more about the artist himself.

Artsy's goal is to make art from around the world easily accessible to everyone. Currently, Degas' paintings are being displayed at the Saint Louis Art Museum.

You can visit Artsy's Degas page here.

Some of my favorites are "Dancers at the Barre" and "The Ballet Class". Enjoy!
